Catnip (also known as catmint), is a member of the mint family. It can be used to encourage cats to explore and play. The chemical, nepealactone, attracts felines and often triggers a response.
In addition, catnip can be used by humans in a tea to help aid sleep and reduce stress. Not recommended to be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
