Whole Hog - DEPOSIT - June 17 harvest

P/u July 20 at Clark Park
$250.00

What are the benefits of purchasing a whole hog?

  • Saves shopping time and travel
  • Avoids future price increases
  • Allows a choice of cutting options, sausage recipe selection, no-nitrate smoked products and even sugar free selections if desired
  • Sets aside special cuts for your holidays

How much space do I need in my freezer?

A rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for each 35-40 pounds of cut and wrapped meat. Allow slightly more space when the meat is packaged in odd shapes.

The final packaged hog could weigh a little over 150 pounds, but will vary depending on factors such as the size of the actual animal, whether or not you choose to take the bones, the percentage of fat you keep in the ground meat, and whether or not you opt to save the fat.

What cuts do I get?

Illustrated below are the basic primal cuts from a hog and the variety of items cut from each. We will work with you to order the cuts you prefer and communicate those choices to the butcher shop!
